Tender description
A Meet the Buyer's Webinar event has been scheduled to discuss Newham Council's plans for a culturally sensitive Tier-2 Weight Management service. You may have previously expressed interest for the proposed Integrated Health and Wellbeing Service (IHWS), however due to Covid a revised timetable for this is in process and will be shared as soon as possible. LBN is planning to implement the interim Weight Management service in response to learnings from the Covid response and would like to invite you to an online Market Engagement session to discuss our plans and hear your views. It is intended that a tender process will be initiated in November with a contract start date in early 2021. The interim Weight Management service is expected to be commissioned on a one-year contract with the option to extend for up to six additional months This is not an invitation to tender. We are inviting individual organisations, partnerships or consortia to attend this 'Meet the Buyer's Event'. Service Commissioners will provide a webinar to update the market on the below: - Requirements of the planned service - Overview of planned procurement timeline - Guidance on submitting bids - Open discussion to seek provider input Overweight and obesity is a complex area and Newham is a very diverse borough. For these reasons we are particularly interested in hearing from smaller local or regional organisations with a good understanding of the borough. Consortia bids would be welcome. Details of organisations attending the event will be shared with everyone attending as well as published with Invitation to Tender documents. Organisations will also be given the opportunity to ask commissioners any questions. If organisations have any immediate questions then please contact Fernanda De-Franceschi (details below) and the commissioners can address this at the Event. All questions and answers will be shared with attendees of the Events. The Meet the Buyers Event will inform the Service Specification and key outcomes as well as the procurement process. The weight management service will inform elements of the IHWS plans. Event Details You are invited to attend a Meet the Buyer webinar event to be held as follows: • Monday 2 November 2020, 14.30-16.00 • Please complete the registration form and return to Fernanda De-Franceschi Fernanda.De-Franceschi@onesource.co.uk by 10am on Friday 30 October 2020. It is anticipated that the tender will be published in November via Fusion.
