Tender description

The Hertfordshire and Essex High School is an outstanding non-selective secondary school for girls from years 7-11 with a mixed sixth form in years 12 and 13. The Sports Centre has recently been completed and is currently only providing limited services, but it anticipated that it will be at full operational capability by the time this contract is operational. Pupils on roll: 1262 (95 male and 1167 female). Total staff number: 161 (31 male and 130 female). The main school consists of 8 buildings that are used for general teaching and admin use, plus the new Sports Centre. Square meterage: 8 686 m2 main school. Sports Centre estimated at 2 314 m2 plus circulation areas. Periodic cleans: 4 weeks at both locations. Days cleaning: 195 days at school, Sports Centre TBC. Daily cleaning times school: 3.40 p.m. to 8 p.m. except on open evenings, 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. at Pool changing and Math’s Hub. Sports Centre to be cleaned a.m.: 7 days a week. Day cleaner at school: to remain school employed. Quote required for exterior window cleaning at both locations. Current contractor: KM Cleaning.
