Tender description

<p>Kent County Council needs to procure a short-term interim concession services contract for the processing of mixed paper and card arising from household waste kerbside collections in East Kent from 16 January 2021 until 30 November 2021.</p> <p>Through its contracts with third-party waste transfer suppliers, the Council will deliver loads of mixed paper and card arising from household waste kerbside collections in East Kent to the supplier&rsquo;s designated material processing facility (or waste transfer station as appropriate).</p> <p>The supplier must have in place:</p> <ul> <li>a processing facility with appropriate permitting and planning permissions;</li> <li>an electronic weighbridge for the weighing-in of material delivered to their facility to provide the Council with the appropriate management information (including weigh-loader transaction listings);</li> <li>policies and procedures that recovers materials in accordance with the waste hierarchy to maximise reuse and recycling and to avoid sending any waste to landfill; and</li> <li>robust service contingency plans to ensure continuity of services in the event of plant failure, etc.</li> </ul> <p>Please 'Register an Interest' in this opportunity to gain automatic access to the Invitation to Tender documentation and further details on the Council's requirements.</p> Keywords: paper, waste
