NHS England, NHS Improvement and NHSX have issued a ‘National Adoption Directive’ which mandates all English NHS Trusts are to use NPEx to electronically transfer send-away test requests and results for Covid-19. The directive means all English NHS Trusts currently without an NPEx connection will implement, in a national project, digital referring and/or reporting for Covid-19 through NPEx as a single source so, ultimately, patients can receive their Covid-19 test results more quickly. The supplier shall: 1) provide software licenses for the NPEx connections/interfaces from the supplier’s software, under the software license terms in the supplier’s customers existing contracts with the supplier; 2) provide implementation services for the fifty-seven (57) supplier customers; 3) implement Covid-19 requests out, results in and with results simply being positive/negative and present/non present; 4) provide 2-year support and maintenance services.
