My Open Library technical solution for Fermoy Library

Tender description

Cork County Council Library requires a technical solution which will be an integrated and fully supported system that provides automated self-service for the public outside of staffed hours and also enables normal services to be provided during staff hours. The My Open Library service will enable extended opening hours to library members from 08.00 to 22.00, seven days a week, 365 days per year. The My Open Library technical solution will provide hardware and software which will allow for controlled access to the building and other areas as required such as meeting rooms, toilets linked to the library’s Library Management System, have the ability to integrate with the Library Management System (LMS), currently Sierra, which will provide authentication to enable access to the building and self-service equipment, interface with IT equipment including self-service facilities for public use, CCTV interface and equipment to enable real time monitoring, interface with lighting, heating controls, fire alarm systems, a PA system to enable pre-recorded and real time announcements, reporting facilities, enable library staff to schedule system for when the library is staffed, open without staff and when closed, the system allow to be centrally managed as well as allowing the library to control it remotely in another location, be able to manage and control maximum capacity to the building, have the capacity on the system to add on new My Open Library sites, if required, at a future date.
