Tender description

Network Rail has carried out a procurement process in accordance with the negotiated procedure with prior call for competition under the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 to appoint three (3) contractors onto a framework agreement to deliver low voltage and conductor rail equipment works across Kent and Sussex routes. Network Rail shall act as the principal contractor/designer as defined under CDM 2015. Terms and Conditions are under NR4(MT) for a duration of 4 years with the option to extend by 1 year. This is a nil-value framework, however, the total anticipated spend across the three Contractors is GBP 5 900 000 for the framework term when including for the optional extension periods. Under the framework agreement, contractors are to supply all resources required to deliver a defined scope of works. The contractors shall be responsible for all necessary arrangements for any electrical isolations, in order to undertake site surveys and installations. The type of Low Voltage (LV) category of works include (but is not limited to): signal power cable renewals, battery and battery charger renewal, alteration and reconfiguration of substation buildings, building services requirements (e.g. heating, lighting and ventilation) and ancillary equipment, LV electrical supplies, minor works and modifications to substation equipment, meter installations, cable route works. The type of Conductor Rail Equipment (CRE) category of works include (but is not limited to): conductor rail renewal, ramp ends, insulator pots, hook switch renewal, negative bonding reinforcement, electrical track equipment reinforcement, controlled track switch/track isolating switch installation, ETE/M minor works/refurbishment, track/Pway support, cable doubling, shrouding, hook switch greasing, gauging, conductor rail welding, direct current feeder works, cable route works.
