Tender description

Hydrographic survey services: provision of hydrographic survey services for commencement Spring 2021, the work will cover hydrographic survey operations, to IHO standards, in Medium Water depths (0-200m). Applicants are invited to bid on an indicative programme. The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. The tender shall be based on the indicative Programme in the Specification. The undertaking will include a number of hydrographic surveys which will cover a wide area around the UK for the updating of UK nautical charts and publications. Other associated ancillary observations may be required. The applicants will be asked to bid on each indicative area within the programme. The indicative programme will be detailed together with a payment methodology designed by the MCA. The authority reserves the right to call-off other surveys of a similar or related nature as required throughout the contract. Minimum standards for the surveys shall be those described in the latest edition of the document ‘International Hydrographic Organization Standards for Hydrographic Surveys’ (Special Publication No 44.)
