Tender description
The reasons for the decision is to ensure that families whose children are in receipt of free school meals have sufficient food to feed their children over the October half term period. The total number of children and young people to be supported is 27,000. Approval has been obtained via the Mayor, Chief Executive and Head of finance. Given the exceptional circumstances it has been agreed that the food vouchers will be purchased via an approved exemption.
