Design, installation and maintenance of a Distributed Antennae System (DAS) with a WIFI system

Tender description

A new purpose-built two storey (The MERITS Building) technology hub is being constructed in Devoy Park, Naas adjacent to Kildare County Council Offices. The construction is due to complete in December 2020. The facility will cater for 100 people who will comprise start up enterprises and small trading companies in the information & communications technology industry. The floor area is approx. 1,210 sq. metres The building is served with a fibre broadband connection which terminates in the Comms Room on the Ground Floor of the building. The bandwidth is a 1Gbps symmetric/synchronous connection. This contract is concerned with the internal WIFI and Distributed Antennae System for the new facility. The project is to comprise the design, installation and maintenance of a Distributed Antennae System (DAS) along with a WIFI system throughout the MERITS Building. The two storey purpose built building comprises open plan and cellular offices with conference and meeting room facilities. The DAS design is to be based on the latest Joint Operator Technical Specifications (JOTS) and each operator’s specific preferences based on the tenderer’s experience of deploying and managing similar projects.
