Construction work for electricity power lines

Tender description

Two HVDC links are required connecting the east of Scotland and the east of England: the locations can be found below: 1) From Torness to Hawthorne Pit, for delivery in 2027 (NOA code E2DC); 2) From rom Peterhead to Drax, for delivery in 2029 (NOA code E4D3). In order to inform the potential technology options which could be utilised for these HVDC schemes, you are invited to register your interest to complete a questionnaire which will be issued once interest has been registered. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is not a call for competition, but intended to commence preliminary market engagement, this follows on from a similar exercise in February 2019 (http://bidstats.uk/tenders/2019/W07/696975431). National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), Scottish Power Transmission (SPT) and Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission (SHET) are jointly taking forward co-ordinated development activity on both projects and the questionnaire is intended to inform of capabilities available in the market. NGET are issuing this on behalf of all three parties.
