NWG are looking for expressions of interest to join our framework for concrete repair services in the Northumbrian Water (NW) and Essex and Suffolk Operating Area. The works include the repair and refurbishment of service reservoirs, water towers, raw water retaining structures, aqueducts, river structures and water and sewage treatment works process tanks, comprising internal and external repairs, application of coatings and linings to steel and concrete structures together with other associated minor engineering works Please see the additional information in section VI.3) to find out how to express an interest. NWL are looking for expressions of interest relating to the professional engineering, advisory, and design consultancy services including structural and asset condition surveys and reports, scope definition, materials testing and analysis for the employer relating to the following asset based areas of the employer’s capital investment programme of works in both the Northumbrian Water Ltd (NWL) and Essex and Suffolk Water (ESW) operating areas: Repair and refurbishment of service reservoirs, water towers, raw water retaining structures, aqueducts, river structures and water and sewage treatment works process tanks, comprising internal and external repairs, application of coatings and linings to steel and concrete structures together with other associated minor engineering works. Standard activities include: • internal concrete repairs; • roof membranes – including associated ground works; • joint over-banding; • pipe coatings; • minor pipework modifications; • repairs to access hatches (replacing sealant, foam gaskets, insect mesh); • design elements where required for all of the above. The framework will be for an initial period of 4 years with the option of two further 2-year extensions giving a potential overall duration of 8 years in total (4 + 2 + 2). The estimated value of the framework is between GBP 2 million-GBP 5 million per annum but no volume of work is guaranteed.
