Summary of the work An experienced Senior Project Professional with proven experience, capable of adapting and working alongside internal and external staff whilst managing multi-disciplined teams to effectively deliver large and complex digital technology projects in an environment of continual change. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length 2 years Latest start date Monday 15 June 2020 Maximum Day Rate £700 Who Speclialist Work With The delivery manager will manage a project associated with the Home Office Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Tooling Technology Products initiative. The candidate will work across the organisation, including key stakeholder management at all levels to effectively plan monitor and control their project to deliver the outcomes required to time cost and quality. What Specialists Work On DDaT are transforming their system delivery capability with STP accountable for key outcomes. The candidate will work within the STP team to ensure that these outcomes are delivered in accordance with agreed governance and technical architecture. Skills & Experience • Experience of managing a multi disciplined programme delivery teams to deliver complex programmes/projects • Evidence of successfully escalating and managing risk to deliver successful outcomes • Experience in developing project status reports and providing management reports to Executive board level stakeholders • Experience and evidence of strong project planning monitoring and control • Experience of managing multi-functional delivery teams, in similarly complex environments • Evidence of strong client up-skilling and knowledge transfer capability Nice to Haves • Work as a team with our organisation as well as suppliers. • Drive outcomes making decision effectively while also considering the point of view of others • Delivering messages effectively while considering the individuals' involved Work Location 2 Marsham Street, London SW1P 4DF /Croydon Campus/Other DDaT locations as required Working Arrangments A typical working day is 9am-5pm, however working outside of these hours may be required due to business/project need. The role requires flexibility as individuals may be required to work at any of the Customer premises and/or at supplier sites. The role is outside of IR35. Security Clearance SC Additional T&Cs Travel expenses are payable for journeys outside the M25 where approved in advance by the customer and in line with Home Office Travel policy (subsistence is not payable). Is there an incumbent? No. 2. What opportunity, if any, is there for remote working?The start date advises 15th June and location is London/Croydon. Due to the current pandemic, will this role be starting working remotely? Also once lockdown is over, what is the minimum number of days required on site (is remote working possible)? The role will be home based / supplier site based during Covid related restrictions. There after some home / supplier site working maybe appropriate. 3. Will you support SC Clearance?Will you sponsor clearance to SC?We have a specialist for this role but his SC expired in 2018, would the organisation support the reissuing of the sc clearance?Will you accept a candidate without SC, but still willing to go through?What about people with lapsed SC or active SC, but expiring in 3-5 weeks?Hi, will you consider sponsoring the right person for SC clearance or are you looking for only SC cleared candidates? Ideally the successful specialist will hold current SC clearance as the clearance process will delay the service commencement (the administration of which is impacted by Covid). However, it is more important that the successful specialist is the most appropriately skilled and qualified and we will sponsor clearance for the right candidate. 7. If the candidate does not currently have SC level clearance will the client sponsor candidate security check process before work commences?Good evening. Due to the current restriction on applying for SC Security Clearances, will you be willing to consider an applicant with a BPSS and a SC either 'In Progress' or waiting to be submitted? Ideally the successful specialist will hold current SC clearance as the clearance process will delay the service commencement (the administration of which is impacted by Covid). However, it is more important that the successful specialist is the most appropriately skilled and qualified and we will sponsor clearance for the right candidate. 8. What division of DDaT is the work for please? Chief Technology Office. 9. Regarding security clearance, is this required before you begin the contract or if successful could the delivery manager receive this during the on boarding process? Clearance must be in place prior to on-boarding. 10. Due to Covid-19 and the government restrictions on travel, is there an opportunity for this delivery manager to work from home majority of the time? How is the home office handling these particular health and safety requirements? Thank you. The role will be home based / supplier site based during Covid related restrictions.
