Tender description

Longford Westmeath Education and Training Board has identified a need for machinery items which will be utilised in providing Carpentry & Joinery Apprenticeship trade programmes. LWETB Athlone Training Centre requires the following Carpentry & Joinery Machinery (this is not an exhaustive list), for example: Spindle Moulder, Three Roller Power Feeder, Thicknessing Planer, Belt Sander. The equipment is intended for use in a workshop / industrial environment in LWETB Athlone Training Centre and must be of construction, material and finish which are suitable for this use, meaning it must be robust and able to withstand the type of use typical of a learning environment. This machine will be priced alongside the supply of comprehensive training manuals, installation, commissioning, and after sales support. LWETB Athlone Training Centre invites responses (“Tenders”) to this Request for tenders (“RFT”) from economics operators (“Tenderers”) for participation in a specific contract for supply of the goods and related services (together referred to in this RFT as “the goods” as described under Section 4.1 Requirements and Specification of the RFT). The equipment that is the subject of this tender is part of the equipment required to deliver Version 4 of the SOLAS Carpentry and Joinery Phase 2 syllabus. Delivery of equipment will be to LWETB Athlone Training Centre, Garrycastle, Athlone, Co Westmeath
