Tender description

The authority is inviting expressions of interest from interested parties for participation in the design, development and support of a Ruggedised, small form factor, low power bearer system, capable of egressing imagery, audio, alarms and Geo data. The system must be able to store and transmit data simultaneously. The system will be capable of both independent automatic operation and remote command and control through both a non-proprietary graphical user Interface and two other systems details of which will be made available at pre-qualification stage. The system must be server based to enable multiple products from a deployed position to be monitored and to provide command and control from multiple client devices. The bearer needs to be powered by batteries (9-16v) and include reverse polarity protection. It should also provide a standard TCP/IP port for connection to computers. The bearer must be IP67 rated, including all connection ports. We are seeking responses from companies that have experience of delivering equipment that is security accreditable and safe to use in a military environment. We are also seeking responses from companies with system design and integration covering hardware, software and system assurance. Selection of participants in the competition for the role of prime shall be determined following completion of a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) which shall be issued immediately following closure of this EOI advertisement. Following completion of the PQQ response, contractors will be down-selected for tendering. Down selected contractors will be given an Invitation to Tender (ITT), with the highest scored ITT response to be considered the preferred contractor for the requirement. Only companies with, or willing to attain the authority’s security requirements for this type of work shall be accepted for inclusion in the competition and resulting work package. Whilst there is every intention of progressing this essential requirement, the project remains subject to formal clearance of approvals and funding.
