The Department of Education and Skills (DES), intends to initiate a tender competition in the coming months to seek providers of student desks and chairs which are verifiably compliant with – subject to the provision of independent evidence of such at tender stage — the educations furniture standards of EN 1729-1 and EN 1729-2:2012+A1.
