Tender description

Collection from Council depot, transportation, storage (if necessary) and treatment of food waste. The food waste is to be uplifted from Council depots as required. The service provider is to supply suitable compliant skips for the bulk storage of the food waste. The estimated tonnage for East Ayrshire is approximately 3 322 tonnes per annum. South Ayrshire Council may opt to join the contract at any point during the term and currently their estimated tonnage is 2 621 tonnes per annum, however this is not guaranteed. East Ayrshire Council also reserves the right to deliver the food waste direct to the service provider's premises if it considers viable operationally at any time during the term of the contract.
