Tender description

North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS North Tyneside Clinical Commissioning Group (the CCG) and is managing this procurement process. The CCG is commissioning: Lot 1: A Type 2 Diabetes Structured Education Service; and Lot 2: A Type 2 Diabetes Education Service for Patients with Learning Disabilities. The respective contracts will be for: Lot 1: 2 years initial contract period with a possible 12 months extension period; Lot 2: 2 years initial contract period with a possible 12 months extension period. The procurement will be available to view on the InTend eTendering portal on 19 October 2020. Scope includes services within the current Type 2 Diabetes structured education service contracts in the CCG area. This procurement process will mirror that of the open procedure as in compliance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 in respect of health care services under the Light Touch Regime, Regulations 74-76 and the National Health Service (Procurement, Patient Choice and Competition) (No 2) Regulations 2013. Note all bidders will be required to submit their ITT responses by the deadline provided within the tender documents.
