Harbour construction works

Tender description

Construction of Aberdeen South Harbour has commenced. This procurement is for the completion of works to form a new revetment, dredging between existing piles, complete soft dredging operations adjacent the quays and excavate, dredging and disposal of rock in a marine environment. Aberdeen South Harbour has been partially constructed. This procurement was for works that are required to complete a partially constructed revetment being formed between existing piles. Dredging of soft materials is required to facilitate access to the revetment works. This work in the procurement is required to prevent coastal erosion impacting on local infrastructure and loss of partially constructed works. This procurement was for the dredging and disposal of rock materials to a design profile to suit the construction of a new harbour. The rock will be disposed of within the footprint of a new breakwater or will be deposited in marine stockpiles within the project site.
