Tender description

The Kent County Council’s (the Contracting Authority) Capital Projects Department are looking to procure a Principle Contractor via the Principal Contractors Framework Lot 2 to provide Design & Build Services for RIBA Stages 4 - 6. As a two-stage tender, the successful contractor will first be appointed under a PCSA to undertake RIBA Stage 4 design. This is to be followed by a price submission for the main works at stage two of the tender. The project is to deliver: - A new two storey teaching building. - A new single storey canteen building with new kitchen. - External works to provide extended parking to the north of the site (location of current overspill carpark), drop-off circuit and set-down area. - Demolition of various disused buildings at the south of the site. - A new pedestrian entrance and new fencing and gates to west boundary. - Potential demolition of existing mobile classroom block to the centre of the site if it cannot be removed by Elliot Modular Construction. - Demolition of the existing canteen and kitchen. The design has been worked up to RIBA Stage 3+ and has been submitted for planning determination (KCC/GR/0038/2020).
