Evaluation and Action Plan for Reopening High Streets Safely

Tender description

This commission should provide expert and independent research into: 1) The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on local high street businesses and workspaces, drawing on desk-top and primary research into the impact on Croydon’s high street businesses and workspaces in particular and on national and regional research. 2) The impact of the measures funded through the Reopening High Street Safely Fund on supporting the viable and safe operation of Croydon’s high street businesses and workspaces between June 2020 and March 2021. 3) Reflections on wider government support provided to the high street businesses and workspaces as a result of Covid-19 –specific packages. 4) Further measures and support that the Council and its partners could give to high street businesses and workspaces beyond March 2021, particularly in the scenario of a continued pandemic; and including local lockdown scenarios.
