Tender description

Sport England as the authority contracting on behalf of itself and other contracting authorities, is tendering for service providers to sit on a framework contract to support its work on Active Environments (the Services). Active environments is all about creating the spaces and places to be more active. Sport England is seeking through this tendering process to set up a supply framework with suitably capable contractors to provide these services for an initial term of 24 months and an option of Sport England to extend for further periods up to a maximum of 24 months. The anticipated framework value is up to GBP 4 945 000 (excl VAT) for the total period of 48 months. The value of the contract for the initial term of 24 months is GBP 2 950 000 (excl VAT) and for the extension is GBP 1 995 000 (excl VAT). Contingency has been built into the figures and volumes provided given the current Covid-19 situation. A Strategic Outcome Planning (SOP) and Leisure Services Delivery (LSD). Support partners in developing a strategic approach to investment in sport and physical activity along with project management skills and expertise to procure and implement new leisure operating contract arrangements. B. Assessments of Need Support partners in the development and use of assessments of need for sport, recreation and physical activity provision covering indoor and outdoor sports facilities (including playing pitches) along with informal sport and physical activity provision through the wider environment. C. Town Planning Services Development of national and/or local policies, plans and strategies which support the delivery of Active Environments, application of assessments of need, undertaking planning application related work and providing ad-hoc advice. D. Urban Design Services Provision of master planning and design services to support the creation and maintenance of Active Environments, with a focus on ensuring that new developments and works to remodel existing places provide the right physical characteristics to enable people to become more physically active.
