Tender description

Alternative learning providers are to provide Luton Council with education settings that meet the needs of learners who are permanently excluded or not school ready, or are signed off from school on medical grounds. Luton Council intends to set up an approved provider list of suitable qualified providers. There will be a support session for this procurement to assist providers with the basic tender process on 14 October 2020 at 3.30 p.m. If you wish to attend please email caroline.sturman@luton.gov.uk Alternative learning providers are to provide Luton Council with education settings that meet the needs of learners who are permanently excluded or not school ready, or are signed off from school on medical grounds. Alternative learning providers will consider safeguarding their number one priority as the students who are placed by the alternative learning and progression service are extremely vulnerable and detailed attention by each provider will be needed to keep all of these students safe. Alternative providers will provide students with a curriculum that is robust and fit for purpose, but is forward thinking enough to open opportunities to return to school or to follow aspirational post 16 course and destinations. Luton Council intends to set up an approved provider list of suitable qualified providers.
