Tender description

On behalf of the contracting authority, Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) is seeking through this tender opportunity to invite potential suppliers to directly manufacture, supply and deliver the required marine vessels in accordance with MPS specifications. The supplier will be responsible for managing and controlling the complete supply chain from vessel manufacture through to the supply, delivery and services, including after sales support and maintenance. The MPS vessel requirements are categorised into three lot types: Lot 1: Command and Control; Lot 2: Fast Patrol and Lot 3: Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB’s). The combined value of the procurement opportunity is estimated up to GBP 7.6 million (for all three lots). The MPS will reserve the right to modify any publishable procurement document (through this process SSQ and ITT) where it is required to do so. Potential suppliers will be notified of such changes. Lot 1: Command and Control vessel requirement. Estimated volume of up to three vessels. Lot value estimated up to GBP 1.8 million. The MPS will not be committed or guarantee these volumes on award of contract. The contract will be awarded for an initial duration of 36 months with an option for the contracting authority to extend for a further 12 months. Lot 2: Fast Patrol vessel requirement. Estimated volume of up to six vessels. Lot value estimated up to GBP 3.5 million. The MPS will not be committed or guarantee these volumes on award of contract. The contract will be awarded for an initial duration of 36 months with an option for the contracting authority to extend for a further 12 months. Lot 3: Intervention Vessel (RHIB's) requirement. Estimated volume of up to four RHIB's. Lot value estimated up to GBP 2.3 million. The MPS will not be committed or guarantee these volumes on award of contract. The contract will be awarded for an initial duration of 36 months with an option for the contracting authority to extend for a further 12 months.
