UK Research and Innovation — British Antarctic Survey are to purchase a time of flight aerosol chemical speciation monitor that will allow the measurement of the chemical composition of atmospheric aerosol. The system being purchased is the only system in the market that is able to take measurements in very low concentrations that BAS will encounter. Therefore compliant under regulation 32, (2), (b), (ii) of the public contract regulations 2015 (as amended) — Competition is absent for technical reasons.
