Tender description

The Health Research Board (HRB) is a state agency that supports research and provides evidence to prevent illness, improve health and transform patient care. The HRB has 65 staff. Our annual budget is in excess of €45m and we manage a research investment portfolio of approximately €200m. The agency is funded mainly by the Department of Health, and Board members are appointed by the Minister for Health. The Health Research Board (HRB) wishes to develop bespoke infrastructure service to support HRB-funded researchers and research institutions to develop, assess and submit Data Management Plan (DMP) as per our new data management policy and streamline HRB’s processes to monitor compliance. This infrastructure would provide a supportive and efficient environment for developing, certifying, submitting, assessing, monitoring and publishing DMPs, allowing the HRB to fully implement our new research data policy to its maximum potential. The procurement of this bespoke DMP online platform complete with helpdesk support and organisational branding would run as part of an initial two-year pilot project.
