Tender description

Individual contracts (298 total) for transport of school pupils with additional support needs (ASN), each with a single provider for academic year 2020/21 only. These contracts importantly provide continuity for this vulnerable group of pupils during these unprecedented times. Note that longer term arrangements will be subject to a future, separate, tendering exercise. Requirements: each individual contract requires a driver and vehicle to transport a pupil/or pupils to and from school. Some individual contracts require an escort to accompany the pupil. Some individual contracts have special requirements i.e. need for wheelchair accessible vehicle, car-seats, clamps, ramps, and/or tail lifts. Bespoke arrangements pertaining to the pupil or vehicle that must be observed. There are no guarantees regarding the life span of any individual contract; each is dependent on the pupil circumstances. All contracts must be carried out in accordance with the councils general conditions of contract and ASN special conditions of contract Drivers will be required to provide documentary evidence to the Council for: All Insurances specified. PVG disclosure for driver(s) and escort(s) is essential. All vehicle/driver documentation, including current MOT, road tax and driving licence is required.
