WCC - Fostering Psychologist Support

Warwickshire Fostering Service is reporting an increased number of fostering placement breakdowns, leading to poorer outcomes for young people. This is a result of a number of reasons, such as the increase in complexity of young people's needs, and is not unique to Warwickshire. However, the Fostering Service is seeking to address this challenge by developing the range of support offered to foster carers and fostering social care staff to maintain placement stability. The current Psychologist Support contract is due to end in November 2020, therefore Warwickshire County Council (the Council) is seeking a single supplier to provide a suitably qualified and experienced clinical psychologist who can implement a range of specialist psychological, psychodynamic and systemic interventions for foster carers and fostering social care staff, as identified by the fostering service.
