EP Kilroot Ltd (EPKL) is inviting tenders from qualified economic operators for the provision of a new water treatment system to be installed in Northern Ireland at its asset at Kilroot Power Station. The successful economic operator will be responsible for implementing EPKL's policy provision of the design, supply (via the purchase or hire of equipment), operation and maintenance of a water treatment system at Kilroot Power Station (the Works). The Works include: full factory acceptance testing; installation and commissioning; and, the ongoing operation and maintenance of the water treatment system on a twenty-four hour seven day week (24/7) operating basis. EPKL's best estimated approximate annual value of the contract, based on the historic spend for hire of the equipment and related maintenance services of the equipment, is GBP 390 000 (totalling GBP 1 560 000 over a potential four (4)-year contract term). EPKL is inviting tenders from qualified economic operators for the provision of a new water treatment system to be installed in Northern Ireland at its asset at Kilroot Power Station. Given the extensive repair costs that would be required in relation to the existing water demineralisation plant, EPKL is seeking an alternative solution to replace the existing system and equipment. Under this lot, the successful economic operator will be responsible for implementing EPKL's policy provision of the design, supply (via the purchase of equipment), operation and maintenance of a water treatment system at Kilroot Power Station (the Works). The Works include: full factory acceptance testing; installation and commissioning; and, the ongoing operation and maintenance of the water treatment system on a twenty-four hour seven day week (24/7) operating basis. The successful economic operator will manage the entire lifecycle for the above Works – from planning, mobilisation and execution to de-mobilisation. Further detail is contained in the statement of work issued to all economic operators with the supplier questionnaire. Economic operators must be able to provide the services listed in the procurement documents. if an economic operator cannot provide any of the services listed, the economic operator will be excluded from consideration for the award of the contract. It is anticipated that the contract awarded will commence on 1 February 2021. The contract will be awarded for a minimum initial period of two (2) years, with the option to extend by EPKL for (a) subsequent period(s), up to a maximum of two (2) years extension in total. The contract will be an agreement between EPKL and the successful economic operator. Following evaluation of the tender responses in accordance with the process outlined in the procurement documents, EPKL reserves the right to request the Best and Final Offers (BAFO) from one, some or all remaining eligible economic operators as it determines appropriate at its discretion.
