Tender description

Wolverhampton Homes is seeking to appoint a holistic, efficient, timely, reliable and cost-effective waste management operator that can provide the following four (4) services: 1) skip hire service: supply, delivery, collection and emptying of waste disposal containers and skips, including asbestos; 2) tipping facility: provision of a waste transfer/tipping/recycling centre, including asbestos that provides ‘cost and time’ efficient transfer and storage of WH waste; 3) static skip service: supply, delivery, collection and emptying of segregated waste disposal containers at a designated site(s) of WH; and 4) offensive and hygiene waste collection/disposal service: provision for the collection of small quantities of waste from a designated point(s) within the City of Wolverhampton. Wolverhampton Homes (WH) is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO) wholly owned by the City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) and manages circa 23 000 domestic dwellings within Wolverhampton. WH operates a housing repairs and maintenance service, a capital investment and refurbishment programme and is involved in the construction of new homes. WH is also a licensed asbestos contractor and has other miscellaneous buildings and open space management responsibilities across the city.
