Tender description

The Council has a statutory duty to collect and arrange for the receipt and disposal of household waste and other waste arising within Bath and North East Somerset. This includes Garden Waste taken to its Recycling Centres and Transfer Stations and collected via Council services. The Council is seeking to award a contract for the treatment of garden waste. The contract will commence on 8 January 2021 and continue for an initial term of 1 year with an option for the Council to extend the contract for up to a further 12 months. The purpose of this tender exercise is to appoint a contractor to treat the garden waste collected by the Council by way of open windrow, in-vessel composting or anaerobic digestion, or variants under this terminology, at its treatment site.
