Tender description
Provision of the SeaBird SBE 19+ V2 sensor and a suite of additional sensors that will integrate into the SeaBird SBE 19+ V2. PML expect the provided sensor suite to be delivered fully integrated with the SeaBird 19+, all cabling, sensor mounts and sensor integration will be provided. SeaCATplus Version 2 profiler pumped conductivity, temperature, depth recorder — 4 Hz sampling rate, 64 MB memory, 6 differential A/D channels (0 - 5 volt input range), 1 RS-232 data input channel, data I/O and pump Ycable, 2.5 meter data I/O cable, Seasoft software, and complete documentation. There are various options that can be specified for the SBE19+ V2 and PML’s requirements are specified below: • a plastic 600M housing is required for this deployment; • MCBH wet-pluggable connectors; • it is expected that to facilitate flow through the additional sensors the SBE5M pump will need to be upgraded to the SBE5T; • 100 m strain gauge. Additional sensors: In addition to the SeaBird SBE19+ V2 CTD PML would also like to measure the following parameters as part of the integrated sensor system (all in-water sensors need to interface into the SBE19+). • dissolved oxygen; • turbidity; • chlorophyll A; • coloured dissolved organic material (CDOM); • photosynthetic available radiation (PAR); • above water (in-air) hyperspectral irradiance to include the UV and Visible spectrum. NB: this sensor will not be expected to integrate into the SBE19+. In addition to the above core sensor requirement PML would also be very interested in the addition of both nutrient measurements and pH measurements. These sensors would also need to interface into the SBE19+CTD and be capable of water column profiling to a depth of 50 m. Sensor specification guidance: please see tender documentation. Final considerations • this sensor suite must fit into the buoys profiling cage which is: 1.3 m long and 0.27 m in diameter. • suppliers to provide guidance on calibration frequency assuming constant in water use, calibration and maintenance standard costs and time taken to deliver a calibration; • it is anticipated that the procurement will be for two complete sensor suites; • suppliers to provide details of all warranty and guarantees offered with the proposed sensors; • suppliers to provide details of typical delivery times and any necessary training documentation; • it is expected that tenderers will state the quality standards they are complying to in the supply of this tender; • it is required that any submitted tenders are clearly itemised.
