Tender description

The contracting authority has identified a need to acquire additional deliveries of road traffic collision hydraulic rescue equipment by its original supplier of such equipment in order to ensure its compatibility therewith. A change of supplier would oblige the contracting authority to acquire equipment with different technical characteristics that would result in incompatibility and disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance and lead to operational risks which would be detrimental to public safety. Although the value of the proposed contract is below the thresholds prescribed under Regulation 5 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2005, the contracting authority has published this Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice in order to promote transparency. Although the value of the proposed contract is below the thresholds prescribed under Regulation 5 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2005, this Voluntary Ex Ante Transparency (VEAT) notice has been published to promote transparency and to indicate that the contracting authority intends to award a contract for the supply of seven (7) sets of road traffic collision (RTC) hydraulic rescue equipment to the contracting authority’s original supplier of such equipment in order to ensure compatibility therewith.
