Tender description

Derbyshire County Council (DCC) is seeking to appoint a contractor(s) for the provision of a range of skip and waste disposal services required to meet the requirements of all departments within DCC. The Council require this contract to be open to all Derbyshire County Council owned properties or properties on which Derbyshire County Council departments are carrying out work in the Derbyshire area. The skips will be required to be delivered/collected to various locations throughout the area of Derbyshire. The contract will be divided into 4 lots based on geographical locations throughout Derbyshire excluding Derby City. One contractor will be awarded to each lot. Lot 1: Doveholes, Lot 2: Chesterfield, Lot 3: Denby North, Lot 4: Denby South. Bidders can apply for a single lot or multi lots in any permutations. Derbyshire County Council are committed to managing our environmental impacts including waste by reducing and managing them using the best practical environmental option. This contract will cover the delivery, collection, disposal and recycling of a variety of operations derived waste streams generated from locations across Derbyshire. The contract will be for an initial period of 2 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 years in yearly increments (2 + 1 + 1) subject to annual performance. Performance will be reviewed on a monthly and quarterly basis against agreed service level agreements requirements. Lot 1: Dove Holes geographic area. Lot 2: Chesterfield geographic area. Lot 3: Denby North geographic area. Lot 4: Denby South geographic area.
