Purchase of an Optical Closed-cycle Helium Cryostat at Lancaster University

Tender description

We seek a closed-cycle helium cryostat with optical access for ultrafast spectroscopy measurements using femtosecond laser light with photon energies varying between THz and near-UV ranges. We envisage a full system consisting of a cryostat itself, compressor, vacuum pump and control electronics. The application of the cryostat will involve measurements in magnetic fields and therefore its sample chamber and holder should be free from magnetic materials. . We are open to consider different designs and configurations to satisfy technical requirements specified below. Where suppliers can offer specifications or capability beyond the essential specification only as significant extra cost, suppliers may offer such elements as optional extensions to the base tender offering.
