Tender description

The purpose of this PIN is to notify the market of pre procurement market engagement. In line with NHS England and Improvement’s national programme to consolidate current pathology services across England and to establish networks, Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust, The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (together the ‘Trusts’) are proposing to go to the commercial market for pathology managed services in a collaborative procurement led by Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The aim of the resulting contracts is to deliver a networked service which improves quality, standardisation and secures financial savings. This notification invites potential suppliers who wish to be involved in the market engagement to register their interest. As a part of the market engagement, the Trusts wish to explore, as way of example; future developments and technology including space optimisation, in-scope services, lean methodologies to support efficient workflows plus optimal contract durations, commercial structures and procurement procedures. The Trusts reserve the right to explore all routes to market during this process. Suppliers that are interested in participating in this market engagement exercise are invited to register their interest by sending a message via the ProContract portal: https://procontract.due-north.com/Register The first step in the market engagement will be a webinar presentation that registered suppliers can attend on Thursday 15th October at 3 p.m. where representatives from the Trusts will provide further information. Details of the webinar will be issued shortly via the portal. Additional information section: The purpose of this PIN is to start a market engagement exercise only. Any future procurement opportunity that may arise in relation to the Trusts’ requirements for pathology managed services will be advertised separately in contracts finder and the relevant website for contract notices once the UK exits the EU. The Trusts are not bound to start a procurement process or award a contract. The Trusts are not liable for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by anyone participating in the market engagement exercise.
