Tender description

Waltham Forest was the first Council in the UK to facilitate the introduction of a zero emissions delivery service in its borough: ZED Waltham Forest. This service targets local businesses and first and last mile deliveries utilising cargo bikes, trikes, and electric vehicles to courier goods within the borough and beyond. The authority is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced provider to build upon on the success of the current multi-disciplinary delivery service that serves both the business to customer and business to business market, to expand the service delivery offer and increase the area that it currently operates in. The contract will be for an initial term of 3 years with the option to extend for two consecutive periods of 12 months. Contract start date 1 April 2021. The authority is conducting this procurement using the Concessions Contract Regulations 2016, using the open procedure.
