Tender description

Kirklees Council & Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council are jointly commissioning external impartial and objective support to appraise the current care home situation and set out the required developments for a strong and sustainable care home market in each local authority area. Kirklees and Rotherham Councils are seeking a service provider to help prepare each local authority care home sector for the future demands placed upon it, understanding the needs and aspirations of care home owners and operators as well as local health and social care partners. This work which is outlined in more detail below will result in the production of a strong Care Home Market Development and Sustainability Delivery Plan for each local authority area. A single contract will be awarded. It is expected that the work will take place in an approximately 8-12 week period during the autumn of 2020.
