Tender description

NHS Wales is looking to go out to competitive tender for culture media and associated consumables, to include but not be limited to: — antibiotic sensitivity testing discs and media; — bottled media including agar slopes, diluents, waters, and peptones; — mycobacterium solid media; and — plate media. Please note II.2) provides a current proposed lot structure, however this may be subject to change. NHS Wales, via NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, would like to hold pre-tender dialogue with interested bidders to explore options currently available. Interested parties are requested to complete the attached short questionnaire and return to Rachel Evans by email to Rachel.evans41@wales.nhs.uk and include contact name, company name, telephone number and contact email address. We wish to enter into discussions with interested suppliers during October 2020, interested suppliers are asked to ensure their interest is registered by no later than 16 October 2020. This lot is for the provision of antibiotic sensitivity testing discs and the associated media. This lot will be for the provision of all bottled media including agar slopes, diluents, waters, and peptones. It is envisaged this will include the requirements for both clinical laboratories and food, water and environment testing. This lot is for the provision of mycobacterium solid media. This lot is for the provision of all plated media.
