Tender description

The Alfred Beit Foundation invite submissions for the production of a Conservation, Management and Action Plan (CMAP) for Russborough Demesne, Co Wicklow. Russborough House is considered one of the finest and most significant Palladian houses in Ireland, the designed landscape which forms the primary setting for the house is of similar quality and importance. The foundation has identified a need for a comprehensive CMAP delivered in line with international conservation charters – specifically the ICOMOS Burra and Venice charters. This document will form a specific historic landscape study of the entirety of the demesne to inform all conservation and restoration work. The CMAP will address the need for the improvement of biodiversity and planning for mitigation and adaption to climate change.
