Tender description
The purpose of this prior information notice (PIN) is: to give advance notice that South West London Procurement Partnership (as the Contracting Authority) is working to undertake a tendering exercise to set up a new security services contract to service the security needs of Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust and Croydon Health Service NHS Trust as part of a multi-site collaborative procurement. It is intended that the preferred bidder will replace the 2 current interim contracts held across the sites as 2 discrete agreements independent of each other to supply security services across multiple sites. It is intended that commercial agreements will be signed with a single preferred bidder for multiple sites. Each discrete contract will be independent of each other but will co-terminate as required. It is the intention of the contracting authority to award 2 discreet contracts to a single provider. The lotting structure is expected to take a multi-site approach that covers. Croydon Health Service NHS Trust and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. Typical services will include the following but not exhaustive. — provision of adequate incident response and reporting, — alarm response, — patrolling, — fire exit monitoring, — fire fighting equipment monitoring, — attending to fire alarms, — attending to visitor/patient surveillance, — visitor assistance, — environmental monitoring, — abandoned vehicles, — ensure the safety of patients, visitors, staff and residents, — missing patient search, — escort duties, — undertake missing patient search, — lost property and patient property storage, — monitoring of CCTV, — administration of identification badge management, — car parking and traffic management, — reporting lift failures, — service presence at the security reception desk, — police liaison, — emergency assistance, — major incident reporting. The requirement above is by no means an exhaustive list and may include other potential areas of interest which will be detailed in the notice and tender documentation. The detailed lotting structure of this requirement will be determined and confirmed within the Contract Notice, as will the estimated value of the agreement. The security service will be provided in line with the specification and will be delivered on a 24 hour, 7 days per week basis.
