Tender description

The London Borough of Camden will be negotiating with one housing group for the delivery of 2 contracts: mental health high supported living service – central and mental health supported living — Maygrove Road. Both services are based in Camden. These services support adults with severe mental illness who are unable to live independently. The services will enhance daily living skills in order to enable independent living in the future. The proposed strategy will contribute to Camden 2025 where everyone in Camden should have a place to call home, and be able to live a healthy independent life. The contract values contains an element of individual service fund — 25 GBP per person per week. The London Borough of Camden intends to negotiate with one housing group for the delivery of mental health supported living services in the London Borough of Camden The services are part of the mental health supported accommodation pathway which supports adults with serious mental illness who are unable to live independently. The pathway accommodates residents who have lost their tenancies or are unable to live in their own home without support due to the lack of daily living skills. The supported living pathway often bridges the gap between a long stay in hospital and independent living. The mental health supported accommodation pathway fosters Camden’s ambitions to make Camden a place ‘...where everyone can lead happy, healthy and fulfilling lives’, and where ‘no one should experience discrimination or be made to feel ashamed or isolated because of a mental health problem’.
