This contract is to provide school catering services to participating schools in Sheffield. The aims of the school catering contract are to: — increase school meal take up, concentrating on income based and infant free school meals entitlement, — provide a high quality, value for money Catering Contract that is designed with the customer as the main focus, — encourage strong partnership working between the contractor, school communities, the council and its partners, — offer a tailored, flexible and responsive service that is both right for Sheffield and also meets the needs of each individual school community, — actively work to improve the health of Sheffield’s children and young people, — encourage local business to be involved in the service, — is based on a mutually beneficial and strong commercial framework that works to the advantage of all parties.
