Otterpool Park: Sports Facilities Needs Assessment (OPCB)

Tender description

A needs and opportunities assessment for indoor and outdoor sports facilities within the proposed Otterpool Park development. The proposal will cover the following: • Review of Council’s existing facilities strategy and playing pitch strategy • Consultation with relevant national governing bodies of sport, local clubs & Sport England to identify relevant opportunities • Mapping of existing and competing facilities using our in-house Maptitude GIS software • Commissioning of a Latent Demand Report for health and fitness facilities (from The Leisure Database Company) • Sports Facility Calculator analysis for sports halls, swimming pool, artificial grass pitches and indoor bowls halls • Following completion of the quantitative assessment, development (in collaboration with other members of the Council’s professional team) of the most appropriate strategy for the delivery of sport and leisure facilities during the first phase and over the lifetime of the scheme Keywords: sport, leisure, assessment, consultancy, planning
