Summary of the work Improving engagement between the Digital directorate and the wider clinical workforce as an indentified imperative. The IT department recognises the challenges of delivering a broad agenda. Essential to meet these challenges is the need to develop clear strategies for prioritising transformation work against routine work and commitment to established projects. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length The role is for 6 to 8 weeks currently with an extension option of up to six months Latest start date Monday 10 February 2020 Who Speclialist Work With Executive Team Chief Executive Director of Digital & Health Intelligence What Specialists Work On Review and prioritisation of digital work programmes, to ensure synergy with UHB digital plans and the national digital strategy. Structured and phased Digital Transformation plan aligned to our digital transformation priorities. Methodology to capture benefits realisation demonstrating the impact of digital programmes, delivering both systems and financial efficiencies Skills & Experience • Adding “value” to IT architecture in a complex organisation • Managing large scale shared service external supplier(s) • Financial management and contracting in an NHS environment • Political sensitivity/ influencing to effect change both internally and externally • Proven experience of benefits realisation delivery • Track record of delivering digital change solutions in large complex organisations Work Location Cardiff and Vale University Local Health Board, Woodlands House, Maes-y-Coed Road Cardiff CF14 4HH Working Arrangments The individual appointed will be expected to be outcome focussed and self-managing. Hours will be varied according to the need of the project, ensuring that outputs are delivered on time. Hours will be expected to be worked over 2-3 days/week. Is there an incumbent in place already? No this is a new requirement 2. Hours will be expected to be worked over 2-3 days/week – Does this mean a minimum of 2-3 days per week, or the role is for 2-3 days per week? The individual will be expected to work on site for the 2 to 3 days per week. This is a part time role as we require 2 to 3 days per week. 3. Is the role part-time or full time? This is a part time role as we require 2 to 3 days per week. 4. Is this the same opportunity that was previously published on 8th January and then withdrawn? Yes this is correct 5. Is it inside IR35? Yes 6. When do you plan to shortlist/interview please? You may be invited for interview towards the end of the week commencing the 27th January (if applicable) 7. A "must have" requirement is to have experience of financial management and contracting in an NHS environment. Would other central government experience be acceptable?Is it expected that the outcomes will require 5 days per week? YES 8. Would the buyer accept 2 different DMs from the same supplier to split the work to fulfill the part time requirement detailed above? Preferably not 9. Is it expected that the outcomes will require 5 days per week? YES 10. Can the Authority confirm which SFIA Level this role would align to? Level 5 - 6 11. Is there remote working available or is the role onsite only? Some remote working might be possible, however face to face meetings will be a large and essential component
