Laundry-collection services

Tender description

The authority is seeking contractor(s) to provide Laundry Services and associated services for Institutions across Scotland. The provision of Laundry Services is split into 2 separate service models: One model covers all Laundry Services, including the hire of garments and linen. The other service model solely covers the collection, wash and return of institution owned linen and garments. Institutions throughout Scotland may require services that cover year round launder of garments and linen, including areas such as catering, hospitality, residential, hair and beauty and leisure. The agreement is for a period of 24 months with the option to extend for a further 24 months and will commence April 2020. The purpose of Lot 1A is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of the Highlands and Islands with the provision of linen and garment hire services, in addition to the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service. The purpose of Lot 1B is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of Aberdeen and Grampians with the provision of linen and garment hire services, in addition to the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service. The purpose of Lot 1C is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of Stirling, Perth, Angus, Dundee and Fife with the provision of linen and garment hire services, in addition to the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service. The purpose of Lot 1D is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of South East Scotland (Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders) with the provision of linen and garment hire services, in addition to the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service. The purpose of Lot 1E is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of South West Scotland (Greater Glasgow, Argyll,Renfrewshire and Ayrshire) with the provision of linen and garment hire services, in addition to the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service. The purpose of Lot 2A is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of the Highlands and Islands with the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service for Institution owned garments and linen. The purpose of Lot 2B is to provide Institutions within the geographical area of Aberdeen and Grampians with the provision of a collect, wash and return launder service for institution owned garments and linen.
