Tender description

The Council is looking at creating a contract for delivery of a Edinburgh recovery community service. The purpose of this PIN is to invite interested providers to a market engagement event to discuss the support service for Edinburgh’s Recovery Community. In early 2019, Edinburgh Alcohol and Drug Partnership funded Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations’ Council to carry out a needs assessment with the recovery community. The scope of the exercise was to explore ways that the recovery community can be effectively supported and identify the criteria for service development, particularly for those in or seeking long term, abstinent recovery. This is an opportunity for providers to discuss the development of a new building-based service to support the recovery community in Edinburgh. The service will provide support to the recovery community through: — development of sustainable, build-based service that will provide a safe space offering accessible skills development, leisure and social opportunities, — ongoing delivery of a programme of activities and events that will provide peer support, development and leisure opportunities. At the supplier event, information will be given about work and relationships achieved to date through Edinburgh Recovery Activities. There will be the opportunity to discuss achievements to date, the proposed service specification, the outcomes and the procurement process.
