Tender description

The University are looking to procure: external audit services. The emphasis of this tender is to appoint appropriately qualified company who have suitable experience of the financial services required (preferably within a HEI environment or similar), knowledge of both national and international arenas and an innovative approach throughout the life of the contract. External audit is expected to commence from June 2020 to run for 3 years with a possible 2-year extension in 12 monthly increments The University has campuses in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong, along with a number of subsidiaries which operate both nationally and internationally across the business portfolio, we are looking to undertake a tender for external audit services. The emphasis of this tender is to appoint appropriately qualified company who have suitable experience of the financial services required, knowledge of both National and International arenas and an innovative approach throughout the life of the contract. The external audit is expected to commence from June 2020, to run for 3 years with a possible 2-year extension in 12 monthly increments. We anticipate that the value of the services is approximately 230 000 GBP excluding VAT over the 5 years. For the purpose of this tender award and any subsequent services which may be connected with the original award we reserve the right to spend a further 40 % of the anticipated spend subject to changes in organisational structure, or changes to compliance.
