A Special Educational Needs (SEN) Base as an extension to Scoil Chróine, An Clochán Liath/ Dungloe.

Tender description

A two Classroom Special Educational Needs Base as an extension to Scoil Chróine, Dungloe, Co Donegal comprising: • 1 Central Activities Space, • Toilet and Shower Area, • 2 Small Safe Places associated with the Classrooms, • 1 Multi-Sensory Room, • Staff toilets • Storage, • 1 Office • 1 Cleaner Store • Circulation @ 21%. The total floor area will measure in excess of 439 square metres. A secure hard and soft play area measuring 200 sq metres and a sensory garden (subject to prior Departmental agreement in writing) are also included in the project. Provision is also made for 6 car parking spaces. It is envisioned that this extension will accommodate two ASD classrooms and also reflect the needs of the present Severe to Profound classroom. It is vital that consideration is also given to the safe arrival and departure of children with special needs as they attend the new SEN Base in Scoil Chróine.
