Steel fixing services for the Morell River Flood Management Scheme, Turnings Lower, North Naas, Bodenstown, Co. Kildare

Tender description

Tenders are invited for the tying of high yield reinforcement bars for a number of flood alleviation walls as part of the Morell River Flood Management Scheme. The scheme is located near Straffan Co. Kildare and comprises the construction of 7.5km of earthen embankment and approximately 500 linear meters of insitu concrete floodwalls. The walls will in general be a series of 6m long ‘L’ walls with wall stems up to 2m high and bases in the region of 1 to 2m wide. Due to the nature of works required by the scheme, it is planned to construct much of the in-situ concrete walls over the winter months and therefore much of the steel reinforcement tying labour will be required during these months. The works have been scheduled to be carried out over 3 years and therefore this RFT is for the provision of services described in this document over a period of approximately 36 months.
