Tender description

Peel Ports Group (PPG) is one of the UK's largest port operators with facilities in Port of Liverpool, Heysham Port, Manchester Ship Canal, Medway (Sheerness/Chatham), Clydeport (Greenock, Hunterston, Ardossan) and Great Yarmouth. It also operates a container terminal in Dublin. Across all of the above ports, PPG is conducting market research in relation to a project to understand and define where all site drainage, whether that be PPG controlled or tenant controlled, both starts and discharges including the pipe network and infrastructure between those points. This should account for all surface water, foul and combined sewerage, both gravity and pumped, including all associated drainage infrastructure. In order to survey the sewer network, a CCTV, jetting and debris removal campaign may be required. The scope of work for survey is likely be to survey, document and provides series of reporting deliverables: (i) detailed full survey reporting; (ii) 2D AutoCAD drawing of drainage systems for each site; (iii) details and condition/operability of associated drainage infrastructure; (iv) pipework condition assessment and recommended remediation where required; and (v) identified discharge locations (either to waterbody outfall, ground or onward public sewer). This notice is being posted for market engagement purposes only on behalf of the following utilities. • Clydeport Operations Ltd, • The Mersey Docks and Harbour Company Ltd, • The Manchester Ship Canal Company Ltd, • Marine Terminals Ltd, • Heysham Port Ltd, • Ardrossan Harbour Company Ltd, • Port of Sheerness Ltd, • Birkenhead Port Ltd. Each of the above utilities is subject to its own procurement threshold and it is anticipated that for a number of the utilities, the value of the drainage surveys to be procured will not exceed that threshold. As such, further contract notices are not anticipated for all of the above utilities. The closing date for response is 14 October 2020.
